"Peace is not our profession."

Fighting spirit one must have. Even if a man lacks some of the other qualifications, he can often make up for it in fighting spirit.
Brigadier General Robin Olds, USAF

There is nothing absolutely nothing, to describe what goes on inside a pilot's gut when he sees a SAM get airborne.
Commander Randy "Duke" Cunningham, USN

YANKEE AIR PIRATE ENVIRONMENT

The most important factor of any aerial simulation is the environment in which you find yourself. Yankee Air Pirate is played within the most realistic world that our computers can handle. In a media where one tree will stop a computer cold, we provide you with a jungle of mixed trees and shrubs. Oceans with waves are difficult to support. Ours look real from all angles and at all times of day. And to a pilot, realistic clouds are essential. Our clouds are the clouds that pilots will recognize. They are either towering, gloomy, foreboding, or wispy. They come in multiple layers and unpredictable places. Proof that this enormous job was done lies in the fact that you won't notice. They are all the work of Eric Bookout or Deuces. He is also the author of many of the effects in the game as well as an essential element of aerial refueling. Deuces is the wizard that made YAP v.2 possible.

There are too many changes to the game world to list. Stock WOV is lifeless and bland. YAP brings you a world that is believable yet not overdone. To fly in this world is an experience in itself.
